One of the biggest advantages that First Bank & Trust has over other banks is the ability to enroll in our comprehensive Mobile Banking program.

By enrolling in our Mobile Banking program, you'll be able to download several apps, which will allow you to do much of your banking remotely on your smartphone.

Mobile Banking With First Bank & Trust

The very first thing to do before you can download our Mobile Banking app to your phone is to enroll in Online Banking.

Doing so is as easy as filling out our secure Online Banking form. Once you've done this, you'll be able to do all of your banking online via your computer.

If you want to take advantage of our free mobile banking capabilities, sign in to your Online Banking profile via your computer. Then follow these steps to activate mobile banking capabilities:

  1. Click on the options tab
  2. Click on the mobile settings tab
  3. Check "enable mobile access for your mobile device"
  4. Choose to receive text alerts if you want them
  5. Enter your phone number
  6. Select your wireless provider
  7. Check what accounts you want to be able to access

Once you confirm the conditions, you'll receive a confirmation text message. You will then be able to use mobile banking by downloading our apps. The following are the two apps that we offer and how you can use them to your benefit:

The First Bank & Trust Mobile Banking App

Our First Bank & Trust Mobile Banking App allows you to do all of the same banking tasks that you can do online on your computer or in person at the bank.

What makes our app so useful is that you won't have to worry about going to the bank or getting to the bank before it closes and you'll be able to look up useful information about your finances while you're on the go. The following are some of the features of our mobile app:

  • View account balances - You can get an instant overview of your finances by looking at all of your First Bank & Trust accounts and the funds that are available in each account. This can be really helpful if you're out shopping and you're unsure if you have enough funds in your checking account to use your debit card, for example. It will only take a few seconds to check using our mobile app.

  • Make transfers - If it turns out you don't have enough money in one of the accounts that you want to use, you can simply transfer money from one account to another with just a few touches. Transfers happen immediately, which means you'll have access to funds as soon as you transfer them.

  • Pay your bills - When you go online to our First Bank website, you'll be able to set up Online Bill Pay, which means that you can pay all of your bills directly from our site. In fact, you can even set up automatic withdrawals from one of your accounts to pay for these bills on specific dates. However, once you've set up Online Bill Pay, you can pay them via our app as well.

  • View past activity - The app will provide you with information regarding past banking activities, such as transactions, transfers, bill payments and more.

  • Set up notifications - You can set up all kinds of notifications on your phone. For example, if you have a bill due soon and you've set up online bill payments, you can set up a notification alerting you of any due dates that are coming up.

The app is incredibly easy to use. Once you've downloaded it to your smartphone, all you'll need to do to access it is log in securely using your Online Banking password.

The Remote Deposit Anywhere Feature of our Mobile Banking App

Although some employers have set up direct deposit payments to make it easier to get paid, not all employers do this.


This can make getting paid a real hassle since it means you have to go to the bank twice a month in order to deposit your checks. This is why our Remote Deposit Anywhere feature is so useful. Even if you do get paid via direct deposits, you may still receive checks for other reasons, in which case this feature will certainly come in handy.

Not only will you be able to deposit your checks no matter where you are using this feature, you'll be able to do so at any time - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means that you'll no longer have to rush to the bank in an attempt to deposit your money before it closes.

The way the Remote Deposit Anywhere feature works is incredibly easy. Once you download our Mobile Banking app, depositing your check takes less than a minute to do.

After you launch the app, select deposits from the main menu in the top left hand corner. Select “Deposit a Check” and click on the camera icon. Using the camera, you'll be prompted to take a picture of both the front and then the back of your check (make sure that you endorse it before you take a picture of the back!).

Enter the amount of the check where requested and then upload the pictures. You'll get immediate confirmation that your check has been deposited.

Besides making life much easier by allowing you to deposit your checks from anywhere and at any time, the Remote Deposit Anywhere feature of our app also allows you to track past transactions, making it easier to keep track of your finances.
